We used microarrays NRIB3000, which were equipped with 3008 cDNA clones from A. oryzae EST analysis (http://www.nrib.go.jp/ken/EST/est_e.htm) in order to elucidate the biological functions of atfB as a predicted transcriptional regulator gene. We isolated RNAs from the deltaatfB and the wild type strains grown in solid-state culture for 37 h when atfB is highly expressed in wild-type strain and were subjected to microarray analysis.
