A light-driven aerobic granular sludge, hereinafter referred to as "photogranule", was established using microalgae and activated sludge culture. In this experiment, the photogranule was used to treat carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus deficient wastewater and a blank control. The microbial diversity in the photogranule was measured during the stabilization period.
