Effects of substituting inorganic trace elements with organic trace elements on gut microbiota of finishing pigs

An incision was made in the abdominal region, and a 15 cm section of the cecum was isolated. Both ends were securely ligated, and a small incision was made using a scalpel. The contents were transferred into a sterile 2 mL container and stored in liquid nitrogen for further analysis. Subsequently, a muscle sample approximately 10 cm thick was collected from the longissimus muscle between the 5th and 6th ribs on the left side for meat quality analysis.
