资源简介:
Echinococcosis is an infection caused by the pathogen Echinococcus spp., which has a complex life cycle, which contributes to significant morbidity and mortality among humans, and causes significant economic damage to livestock. Echinococcus spp. widespread in Kazakhstan, with massive cases of cystic echinococcosis in humans, dogs, livestock, and wild animals. The study of echinococcal infection in the territory of Kazakhstan is carried out in order to monitor the invasion and further map the data obtained. There are only a few data on the study of echinococcosis, there is no information on the study of the genetic diversity of the pathogen, which makes it difficult to diagnose and compare the epidemiological situation in the whole country. The main idea of this project is to establish all haplotypes and species of the pathogen Echinococcus spp. circulating in Kazakhstan at different life stages of development (intermediate and final hosts) in order to establish the main transmission routes between natural reservoirs, farm animals and humans.
