Integrating transcriptome and physiological analyses to reveal the acute toxic effects of scleractinian coral Galaxea fascicularis to inorganic filters

Inorganic filters (ZnO and TiO2) are significant components in sunscreens and some personal care products and can enter coral reef ecosystems through coastal tourism. However, little is known about how it will affect the coral reef ecosystem. This study evaluated the phenotypic, physiological, and transcriptional responses of coral Galaxea fascicularis exposed to ZnO and TiO2.
