Western Reference Corpus: Postcolonial analysis of archaeological and heritage discourse in Central Asia

This dataset contains a structured, annotated corpus of English-language texts (transcripts of academic lectures, popular science documentaries, and institutional media) dedicated to the archaeological and historical heritage of Central Asia (primarily Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan). The corpus is designed for Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and Translation Studies, aiming to identify and categorize hidden Orientalist, colonial, and Eurocentric frames in Western narratives about the region.
