资源简介:
JMA’s field investigations were confined to 5,290 acres that lie within the drawdown zone. JMA initiated a staged approach, including (1) Background and cartographic research and cursory review of existing collections. (2) Resurvey, through surface reconnaissance, previously identified archaeological sites within the drawdown zone and documentation of existing conditions. (3) Survey, as time permitted, the remainder of the drawdown zone for additional archaeological sites and historic properties. (4) Evaluate the survey findings, assess resource integrity and provide recommendations. JMA resurveyed 197 out of 230 previously recorded site areas, and recorded 10 new archaeological sites (8 prehistoric sites and 2 historic sites) and two historic structures. Of the 197 resurveyed site areas, JMA relocated 122 site areas and 75 site areas were not relocated. JMA separated the 122 relocated sites and the 10 new sites into four preservation/stabilization categories based on cultural remains recorded (both present and past), information potential, and potential for resource integrity.
