Water Bodies Fraction

1. Data Identification abstract Derivation of water bodies from Resourcesat-1 / Resourcesat-2 data using automated extraction algorithm enabled quick processing of satellite data. 2. Area under Water Bodies (WB) is used to estimate Water Bodies fraction (WBF) 3. Raster layers of water bodies, water bodies fraction information derived during October, February, May months of each crop year (Jun-May) from 2004-05 to 2010-11 is provided. 4.Monthly information is provided from Sep 2011 to May 2012 on monthly basis. 5.Visualization and the data analysis facilities on Bhuvan will provide opportunity for analyzing the surface water spread dynamics. This link takes the user to Bhuvan portal of NRSC/ISRO to facilitate download of Water Bodies Fraction data of user selected aeras.
