Data and code for: Spatiotemporal variation in phytoplankton communities, assembly and environmental associations in Liujiaxia Reservoir

The repository contains the primary datasets collected from 21 fixed sampling sites in Liujiaxia Reservoir during the wet, normal, and dry periods, including phytoplankton taxonomic and abundance data, physicochemical water-quality measurements, sampling-site coordinates, and daily reservoir water-level records. The repository also provides the main R scripts used for data preprocessing, environmental-factor comparisons, alpha- and beta-diversity analyses, spatial analyses, Neutral Community Model (NCM) and Modified Stochasticity Ratio (MST) analyses, co-occurrence network analysis, redundancy analysis (RDA), variation partitioning analysis (VPA), XGBoost-SHAP analysis, partial least squares path modeling (PLS-PM), and figure generation. Validation, uncertainty, and sensitivity results for the major analyses are provided in the supplementary workbook. All statistical analyses were conducted in R version 4.6.1.
