OpenCitations Meta Database Dump

Compared to the previous version, this release includes metadata related to citing and cited bibliographic resources added in the September 2025 version of Crossref (https://api.crossref.org/snapshots/monthly/2025/09/all.json.tar.gz), as well as the DataCite Public Data File 2025 (https://datafiles.datacite.org/datafiles/public-2025). This dataset contains a full dump of the OpenCitations Meta Virtuoso database. It includes bibliographic metadata for all publications in the OpenCitations Index. This version of the dataset contains: 129,436,832 bibliographic entities 389,069,283 authors, 2,862,406 editors, and 106,791,171 publishers (counted by their roles, without disambiguating individual entities) 1,376,246 publication venues A full-text index for textual searches Compressed size: 42 GB Uncompressed size: 190 GB The data is provided as a multi-part 7zip archive. To extract it, please use the provided extraction scripts (`extract_archive.sh` for Linux/macOS and `extract_archive.bat` for Windows).
