This is a register of patient discharges from the Colgate Palmolive and John Goulston Wards at Balmain Hospital. The John Goulston Ward had opened by 1926 (1) and the Colgate Palmolive Ward in 1960. (2)The volume records Colgate Palmolive Ward discharges for the period 14 May 1990 to 22 February 1991 and John Goulston Ward discharges from 22 May to 12 July 1991.For most patients, an adhesive printed label has been applied to the first column of the record which usually provides: medical record number; name; address; date of birth; sex; doctor; ward; date admitted, and whether hospital (public), private or unknown.
