No, it's not Halloween, but instead young Los Angeles operatic tenor Henry Timmerman, who arrived here yesterday garbed in the witches costume for the opera 'Hansel and Gretel.' Mr. Timmerman, who flew to Los Angeles from New York via TWA Constellation -- not by broomstick as witches often do -- will sing the Guild Opera Company's leading role in 'Hansel and Gretel' performances to be given February 5 and 7 before some 12,000 city school children at the Shrine Auditorium. He returned to the west coast from singing engagements in the east at the request of Carl Ebert, world-famed director of Guild Opera. Performances for city school children has been arranged through William Hartshorn, Music Superintendent for the schools".
