Indoor Air Pollution: Causes, Effects, And Solutions

It develops a theoretical and conceptual framework to understand the implications of indoor air pollution within public health and environmental policies. The study highlights the risks associated with home-based cottage industries like agarbatti making, artificial charcoal production, perfume making, toilet chemical making, soap making, Tobacco based product making like Bidi which release harmful chemicals, Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and fine particulate matter (PM2.5). It emphasizes the need for safety measures such as proper ventilation, PPE, and the adoption of non-toxic practices to protect workers' health and improve indoor air quality.
