This dataset includes physiological and survival data from an immune priming experiment conducted on two populations of lepidopteran larvae originating from Siberia (Palearctic) and Mexico (Neotropical). The moths were bred for five generations under controlled laboratory conditions (30â¯Â±â¯1°C, 30% RH, darkness) before immune assays were performed. Larvae were size-controlled (17â20 mm) and maintained individually to avoid batch effects. Dataset includes:
1) Phenoloxidase (PO) activity: Measured via dopachrome formation at 490 nm from L-DOPA substrate over one hour in two populations: Mexico and Siberia, with two experimental groups: Sham and primed
2) Lytic activity: Measured via turbidity reduction at 540 nm from M. lysodeikticus suspension over 30 minutes in two populations: Mexico and Siberia, with two experimental groups: Sham and primed

## Description of the data and file structure
Hemocyte data:Â Quantification of circulating hemocytes per individual lava in two populations- Mexico and Siberia, after Sham vs Priming treatments
PO activity data: Measurement of phenoloxidase activity over time using absorbance at 490 nm in hemolymph samples from Mexico and Siberia populations, under Sham and Priming treatments.
Survival data: Binary survival outcomes (alive or dead) recorded 24 hours post-pathogen challenge in Sham vs. Primed individuals from both the Mexico and Siberia populations. 1 stands for alive, and 0 stands for dead.
Lytic activity data: Quantification of antimicrobial lytic activity by measuring the decline in absorbance at 540 nm over time after adding Micrococcus lysodeikticus to hemolymph samples, in Sham and Primed individuals from both populations.
