Data and code for "Second heat sink after feed-water recovery in closed-air open-water humidification-dehumidification desalination"

Version 2 corrects a deterministic post-processing row-selection error. Diagnostic rows sharing a series identifier had replaced accepted primary states in six completed representative hours and in four additional hours. The correction selects the accepted primary or documented reused state for each series. Raw model outputs, completion weights, coverage classifications and event diagnostics are unchanged; completed-pair summaries and associated manuscript statistics have been updated from 79 to 85 representative-hour pairs.This record contains the model code, analysis archives, processed result tables, figure data and figures that accompany the manuscript "Second heat sink after feed-water recovery in closed-air open-water humidification-dehumidification desalination: a matched-hardware decision framework with net-water and electricity accounting" (manuscript in preparation for submission). The study is a steady-state, model-only comparison of a recovery-only closed-air open-water humidification-dehumidification (CAOW-HDH) cycle with the same cycle plus a second, independently cooled dehumidification coil under a matched hardware allowance. Contents:- 01_model_and_analysis_code: MATLAB model and the analysis, screening, branch-audit and site-sampling scripts, plus a post-processing script in Python.- 02_analysis_stages: code, inputs, result tables and logs of the analysis stages, in order.- 03_completion_extension: driver, logs and outputs of the completion run of eight sampled hours.- 04_excel_data_and_charts: Excel workbook with the plotted data and charts, and the scripts that build and check it.- 05_figures: manuscript figures and the graphical abstract (PNG, PDF, EMF, PPTX).- Supplementary tables, a map from the analysis stages to the manuscript (PHASE_TO_PAPER_MAP.md), SHA-256 integrity files and licence texts. Third-party weather, reanalysis and sea-surface-temperature data (TMYx, ERA5-Land, Open-Meteo) are not included; see EXCLUDED_THIRD_PARTY_DATA.md for sources and dates of retrieval. Code is released under the MIT licence and data, tables and figures under CC BY 4.0; see README.md for the scope of each. Files are under embargo until the date shown and will be released openly then.
