NRS-21385 | Lease register [Board of Fire Commissioners]

This is a register of leases of properties occupied for use as fire stations.While the volume records leases commencing as early as January 1898, it appears to have been used predominantly from about 1915, as the entries relate to leases expiring from this time.At the beginning of the volume are monthly sections, March to February, listing the leases expiring in each month, recording date of expiration, property, lessor and remarks (e.g. expired and renewed, cancelled). The main part of the volume is arranged in alphabetical divisions listing the names of properties (stations). For each property, information recorded includes name of lessor, term of lease and remarks (e.g. expired, renewed, monthly tenancy).
