Oil Droplet Ingestion and Excretion by Heterotrophic Dinoflagellates (Noctiluca scintillans and Gyrodinium spirale)

This dataset reports the results of a laboratory study examining the number, size, and frequency of oil droplets ingested and excreted by Noctiluca scintillans and Gyrodinium spirale. Each species was incubated with either crude oil (1 ul/L), crude oil treated with dispersant (1 ul/L) or no crude oil. These treatments were run both with and without the supplement of phytoplankton as a food source.
