The aim of this study is to gain additional knowledge of the participation in adult education and supplementary training, including: - What types of educational activities do people participate in? - What are their reasons for participating? - What do they gain from the education? - Why do some choose not to participate? The sample consists of peopled aged 18-64. The survey was conducted on behalf of the “Tripartite Committee on lifelong skills upgrading and education and training for all in the labour market”. The committee was appointed by the government. The social partners are part of the committee. The committee has been charged with evaluating the adult education and supplementary training in Denmark and recommending improvements in order to strengthen Denmark’s competitive position in the light of globalization.
