README for Dataset Disaster Preparedness among Physicians in Southwestern China.zip

This dataset accompanies the research article titled “Disaster Preparedness among Physicians in Southwestern China: A Multi-Tiered Survey of Competencies and Training Needs in Guizhou Province,” submitted to the Healthcare journal. The dataset comprises responses from a cross-sectional survey conducted between June and August 2023, involving 760 practicing physicians across primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare institutions in Guizhou Province, China. Variables include demographic information, self-assessed disaster preparedness competencies, prior training experiences, and perceived training needs. All data have been anonymized. A data dictionary is provided to facilitate interpretation. This dataset may support further research and policy development related to disaster preparedness training, public health capacity-building, and emergency response planning in low-resource settings.
