The role of narcissism on the subjective well-being of Indonesian teachers

This dataset sheds some light on grandiose narcissism (I.e.. agentic and communal narcissism), and the subjective well-being of teachers in Indonesian collective society. The participants of this research consist of 367 primary to secondary Islamic-school teachers with (n=61) and without (n=306) managerial positions (e.g., teachers vs. headmasters). The data were collected from May to August 2021 using 16 items of Narcissistic Personality Inventory-16, 16 items of Grandiose Communal Narcissism Inventory, 9 items of The Flourishing Scale, and 5 items of Satisfaction with Life Scale. A regression was tested to investigate the role of narcissism (agentic and communal narcissism) on the subjective well-being of Indonesian teachers with and without managerial positions by controlling certain variables such as job tenure, age, and gender. The data was collected online via Google Form whereby the URL was emailed to the school administrators. They then shared the link to teachers in their respective schools via the school's Telegram, WhatsApp group, or teachers' email.
