Phaseolus vulgaris root nodule microbiome Metagenome

This project investigates the bacterial community associated with root nodules of improved varieties of Phaseolus vulgaris. Total genomic DNA was extracted from surface-sterilized nodules and subjected to high-throughput sequencing to characterize the bacterial diversity present within the nodule microbiome. The study aims to explore the composition of microbial communities inhabiting bean nodules and to provide insights into the diversity of bacteria associated with symbiotic structures in cultivated common bean varieties.
