Aim of the study: This data set was collected to explore the relationships between differentiation of self, self-regulation (including self-control and emotion regulation difficulty) and well-being scores in Turkey.
Sample:The sample (N=351) consisted of middle-aged adults(45 to 65 years).
Measurement tools: DSR-I (Turkish version) was used to measure overall differentiation level. EC, ER, IP and F variables in data set represent 4 categories of differentiation of self, original scale was developed by Skowron & Schmitt, (2003), adapted to Turkish by Işık & Bulduk (2015).
BSCS (Turkish version) was used to measure overall self-control skills,original scale was developed by Tangney et al. (2004), adapted to Turkish by Coşkan (2010).
DERS-16 (Turkish version) was used to assess difficulties in emotion regulation. Original scale was develoepd by Bjureberg et al. (2016), adapted to Turkish by Yiğit & Güzey Yiğit (2019)
SPANEB (Turkish version) was used as a measure of subjective well-being and FS (Turkish version) was used to measure psychological well-being. Both scales were developed by Diener et al. (2009) and adapted to Turkish by Telef (2015 and 2013 respectively).
All data was colleced by online survey, transfered to SPSS version 22
