Replication Data for: Varieties of Policy Shifts in Western European Social Democratic Parties: Replication Dataset (Konkuk University Dissertation)

This repository contains the complete replication materials for the doctoral dissertation “Varieties of Policy Shifts in Western European Social Democratic Parties” (Konkuk University). It provides processed datasets, analysis-ready panel files, correspondence analysis (CA) outputs, replication codes, and methodological documentation required to reproduce all empirical results. The archive includes harmonized datasets on the policy positions of Social Democratic parties in 18 Western European countries (2000–2025), CA-derived manifesto coordinates, Europeanization indicators, party membership statistics, and government participation data. All statistical analyses—including FE panel regressions, hierarchical linear models (HLM), mediation analyses, and visualization scripts—are fully replicable through the provided code. Original raw data from external providers (e.g., Manifesto Project/CMP, ESS, Eurostat, ParlGov, KOF) are not redistributed. Only transformed variables, extended series—including updated government participation information (2023–2025) and curated party membership data—and structured analysis files produced by the author are included here. All materials comply with the licensing requirements of the respective original data sources.
