Tsunami exposure-monetary value of exposed urban buildings

This dataset presents a global value of urban buildings exposed to tsunamis. Basically it was generated by multiply the exposed population per cell and the per capita value of the exposed assets per cell. Population exposure is provided by NGI by overlying the global tsunami inundation map with population data, providing the total number of exposed population per cell. The value of urban buildings, provided by GRID-Geneva, comes from the Global Exposure Database. Data are presented in vector format, where the polygons represent cells having approximately 1x1 km (at equator). data on capital stock are In Million US $. more information at "Supplementary information" section.
