Nuclear phylogenomics provide evidence to clarify key morphological evolution and whole genome duplication across rosids

Here, aiming to investigate rosid phylogeny with comprehensive coverage of major lineages, we sampled and generated 203 transcriptomes and two shotgun genome sequences of rosid species.Total RNA/DNA was extracted from young leaves or floral buds and sent to paired-end sequencing of a 2 x 150 bp run with an Illumina HiSeq-3000 platform. Raw reads were subjected to de novo assembly using Trinity v2.4 (Grabherr et al. 2011) with default settings.
