Dipodomys stephensi (Stephen's Kangaroo Rat) occurs in Riverside, San Diego, and San Diego Counties and currently has IUCN endangered, federal ESA and state threatened CESA status, due to loss of habitat from development. The samples in this bioproject cover a limited portion of the known range.. These data have been produced as part of the CCGP.
