An open-source catalogue of variability classifications for TESS light curves in the PLATO LOPS2 field of view, aimed at supporting Guest Observer proposal preparation and target selection for future variability studies in PLATO's first long-term pointing field.
Light curves are sourced from the TESS-Gaia Light Curve (TGLC) pipeline. Each light curve is classified into one of 7 classes using an XGBoost classifier trained on single-band TESS photometry: CONTACT_ROT, DSCT_BCEP, ECLIPSE, GDOR_SPB, INSTRUMENTAL, RRLYR_CEPH, and SOLARLIKE. Combined classes (e.g., DSCT+BCEP) reflect degeneracies that cannot be resolved from single-band time series alone.
The second version of the catalogue is published as two parquet files described below.
