Share of motor insurance gross written premiums on total non-life in Italy 2013-2021

Gross written premiums on the motor insurance market account for approximately half of all gross written premiums in the non-life insurance sector in Italy. Indeed, in 2021, they represented 44.7 percent of the total. This figure, however, decreased in the last few years, most likely due to cheaper prices for this type of insurance.
