16S rRNA Survey of Sputum of Subjects from the SPIROMICS Cohort

This study involved a 16S rRNA gene survey of sputum samples collected as part of the Subpopulations and Intermediate Outcome Measures in COPD Study (SPIROMICS). Sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene was performed using an Illumina MiSeq after amplification of the V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene.
