# MERCAPMars Examination foR ClimAte Patterns This analysis uses Mars Climate Sounder observations and known dust storm locations from the Mars Dust Storm Sequence Dataset (MDSSD) and Mars Dust Activity Database (MDAD). # Overview MERCAP harmonizes atmospheric observations from MCS with MDSSD/MDAD using geospatially-enabled databases. This framework enables targeted extraction and analysis of atmospheric data (dust opacity, temperature, and surface temperature) associated with specific dust storm instances. After extracting coincident atmospheric measurements, we can use that data to study of how local and regional dust storms impact the Martian atmosphere and surface. # Data Record This record contains storm atmopsheric data extracted, aggregated, and plotted from MCS, MDAD, and MDSSD mcs_ddr1_matching_mdssd_mdad_surfaceLocs.txt: Exhaustive list of MCS profiles collected during a temporal window overlapping that of MDAD and/or MDSSD collage_filtersheet_v32_mdssd.csv: Atmospheric data extracted/aggregated from storms in MDSSD collage_filtersheet_v32_mdad.csv: Atmospheric data extracted/aggregated from storms in MDAD profile_detail_535_Alt_shaded_fill.csv: Atmospheric data for storm P17 005 (internal DB ID 535) profile_detail_8166_Alt_shaded_fill.csv: Atmospheric data for storm D16 071 (internal DB ID 8166) profile_detail_10290_Alt_shaded_fill.csv: Atmospheric data for storm F16 H017 (internal DB ID 10290)
