STUDIES ON FUNGAL DISEASES OF OPIUM POPPY (Papaver somniferum L.) IN EASTERN UTTAR PRADESH AND THEIR CONTROL THROUGH NATURAL (PLANT) PRODUCTS

This thesis investigates the occurrence, identification, and control of fungal diseases affecting Papaver somniferum L. (Opium poppy) in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The study involves a comprehensive survey of fungal pathogens, lab-based identification, and the use of natural plant-based products as an alternative to synthetic fungicides. Emphasis is placed on eco-friendly control methods and their efficiency in reducing disease incidence. The findings contribute to the field of plant pathology and sustainable agriculture, offering insights into botanical fungicide development.
