Analysis of inguinal fat from male and female control and adipocyte-specific STAT5 knockout mice

To determine the transcriptomic effects of STAT5 loss on adipose tissue gene expression, we assessed inguinal white adipose tissue of 6-week old male and female control and adipocyte-specific STAT5 knockout mice using a Quant-Seq strategy. Overall design: Inguinal fat pads were dissected from 6 male & 6 female wild-type and 6 male & 6 female adipocyte-specific STAT5 knockout mice at 6 weeks of age, followed by isolation of total RNA and messenger RNA quantification via Quant-Seq.
