In our previous study, we found that TNF-alpha (100ng/mL) different treatment times have opposing effects on BMSC osteogenesis. To investigate the roles of TNF-alpha in the osteogenic differentiation of hBMSCs, we performed gene microarray to detected the gene expression of hBMSCs with or without TNF-alpha during osteogenesis on days 3 and 4. we performed an mRNA microarray to determine the comparative transcriptome analysis of four group, 3d TNF-α (100ng/mL)-treated (Os3_T), control (Os3_C), 4d TNF-α (100ng/mL)-treated (Os4_T) and control (Os4_C) osteogenic BMSCs. Triplicates of Os3_T, Os3_C, Os4_T and Os4_C samples were collected and subjected to mRNA microarray analysis to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs).
