Segmentation Dataset of Labeled Photovoltaic Installations for Orthographic Aerial Imagery in Queens, New York

This dataset contains boundary outlines of photovoltaic (PV) installations for the borough of Queens, New York. The dataset is based on aerial imagery acquired by the State of New York in 2018. The original data set is hosted on the New York State GIS Clearinghouse and Metadata is provided in their related GitHub Repository. 

The data are organized in the following files:

NYQ18-labels.zip - a zip file of the label data

json directory

The labels in LabelMe format. Uses two classes - pv and notpv - to distinguish inner rings in the outer edge polygons.

mask directory

Binary PNG mask images for each tile

shapefile directory

An ESRI shape file containing all polygons

boro_queens_sp18.zip - A copy of the original imagery data, provided for reference only (license CC-BY 4.0). The original source can be found at the New York State GIS Clearninghouse.
