Genome sequence of Maribacter sp. strain C-4077 isolated from the endosymbiotic dinoflagellate

Carotenoid-producing bacteria are widespread in coral reef ecosystems, including coral hosts, unicellular dinoflagellates, and their surrounded seawater. Among them, Maribacter sp. strain C-4077 was isolated from an endosymbiotic dinoflagellate of the bivalve (Fragum spp.). The genome information will encourage our understanding of its taxonomy, evolution, metabolic pathway, and bacteria-algal host interactions.
