The Canvas Model establishes that all of reality emerges from eight primitives governed by three equations. Physics, chemistry, and mathematics have been shown to follow from these primitives. This paper proposes that biology does as well. What this paper provides: · A mapping of the four DNA bases to the four dynamic primitives. Adenine (A) is Acceleration—the energy base. ATP is the universal energy currency. cAMP signals change. Adenine powers the copying and reading of the genetic sequence. Thymine (T) is Order positive (Ti)—the storage base. Its methyl group makes DNA chemically stable, capable of preserving genetic information for centuries. Cytosine (C) is Polarity—the control base. Methylation of cytosine turns genes on and off. This is the primary epigenetic mechanism. Guanine (G) is Amplitude—the structural base. It pairs with cytosine with three hydrogen bonds—the strongest pair. G-quadruplexes hold chromosome ends together.· The G-A-T-T-A-C-A-U signature. The title encodes the full mapping: G (Amplitude), A (Acceleration), T (Order positive/Ti), T (Order positive/Ti), A (Acceleration), C (Polarity), A (Acceleration), U (Order negative/Te). The sequence itself is a physical message written in the primitive language of the canvas. The letters are not arbitrary. They are the primitives.· The hydrogen bond signature as confirmation. The G-C pair has three hydrogen bonds—matching the three spatial dimensions of Amplitude. The A-T pair has two hydrogen bonds—matching the dynamic energy-information pair of Acceleration and Order. The bond count is a physical integer that independently confirms the mapping.· The T-U distinction mirrors the Ti-Te split in psychology. Thymine (T) is Order positive—permanent storage, introverted. Uracil (U) is Order negative—transient action, extroverted. The same primitive structure that distinguishes Ti from Te in psychology distinguishes T from U in biology. RNA uses Uracil because it is a working copy; DNA uses Thymine because it is an archive. This is Structural Resonance: the recurrence of identical primitive structures across independent domains.· The hierarchy of the genetic system. Order is the main mechanism. DNA and RNA exist to store and transmit a sequence. The other three primitives serve Order: Acceleration provides the energy to copy and read the sequence; Polarity provides control over which sequences are read; Amplitude provides the structural scaffold. This mirrors the cognitive hierarchy, where Thinking processes the sequence of logic while the other functions provide input, context, and values.· Predictions for alien life and synthetic biology. Any life discovered elsewhere in the universe will use the same four bases (or their functional equivalents), because the primitives are universal. The hydrogen bond signature (three bonds for Amplitude + Polarity, two bonds for Acceleration + Order) is necessary. Guanine will always be structural. Cytosine will always be regulatory. The Order base will have a permanent form (T) and a transient form (U) mirroring the Ti/Te cognitive split. Steering dynamics will appear as multi-scale regulatory systems. Why this matters: The four letters of the genetic alphabet are not an accident of evolution. They are the four dynamic primitives—Order, Amplitude, Acceleration, and Polarity—expressed in molecular form. DNA and RNA are sequence molecules. Order is the sequence primitive. Thymine and Uracil are the main characters—the bases that make the genetic sequence possible. Everything else supports them. This is the same hierarchy seen in psychology, where Thinking processes the sequence of logic while the other functions provide input, context, and values. If the Canvas Model is correct, biology is not separate from physics. It is the same primitives, expressed in molecular form. Life is a wave phenomenon on the canvas. The same grammar that writes spacetime, prime numbers, and personality writes the book of life.
