A coal maceral dataset with corresponding labels

This is a coal maceral dataset including maceral group images (vitrinite, inertinite, liptinite) and corresponding annotated images. The images are collected from the USGS and fifteen mining areas of China and the labels are annotated through the Neoimaging app. There are 697 coal maceral images and 319 labeled images in the dataset. These images have been improved the quality and resolution using MejorarImagen software. Among the labeled images, red is used for vitrinite, yellow for inertinite, and blue for liptinite. The petrographic analyses for coal samples from coal maceral dataset are included in vitrinite reflectance.xlsx.
