Sand and Stars: A Synoptic Digital Edition

A synoptic documentary digital edition of Siddy Wronsky's unpublished novel 'Sand und Sterne. Erzählung aus dem Lande Israel' (Sand and Stars. A Tale from the Land of Israel), written between 1933 and 1939. The edition presents three parallel versions — the German original manuscript, a Hebrew translation by Yossef Achai, and an anonymous English translation — aligned at the sub-sentence level in TEI XML. The manuscript was discovered in 2017 at the Central Zionist Archive (CZA) in Jerusalem (A149/10). Created in the framework of the DZI digitisation project by the e-Lijah Lab for Digital Humanities, University of Haifa. This deposit contains the clean presentation version of the edition; the full research version with additional entity linking and certainty annotations is available on GitHub.
