This is an excerpt from the third Australian field diary produced between 1947 and 1957 by Arthur Graham Brown, a man who would later become the president of the Royal Australasian Ornithologists’ Union (RAOU) and an Honorary Associate of the National Museum of Victoria.
Graham Brown's diaries are rich in descriptive narrative and are dotted with photographs and hand-drawn maps. They are an invaluable record of the species he encountered on his many field expeditions.
