Flowering Chinese cabbage (Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis var. utilis Tsen et Lee) is a special vegetable in Southern of China.The study goals are developing EST-SSR markers and discovering heat response genes from transcriptome sequences generated using next-generation sequencing. The results can lay a foundation for further study and development of heat-tolerant flowering Chinese cabbage.
