Data and analysis scripts for "Reading Metaphors and similes in L2: evidence from eye movements of Spanish and Finnish L1 readers"

This repository contains the anonymized data and analysis scripts associated with the manuscript “Reading Metaphors and Similes in L2: Evidence from Eye Movements of Spanish and Finnish L1 Readers.” The files include the data used in the Spanish L1 analyses and scripts for the mixed-effects models and cross-linguistic comparisons. The study examines the processing of English metaphors and similes by Spanish L1 learners and compares their processing patterns with previously published data from Finnish L1 learners.
