Karst ecosystems in the Guizhou Plateau harbor unique wildlife reservoirs for zoonotic pathogens, yet their microbiome architecture and pathogen dynamics remain poorly characterized. Here, we integrate metagenomics, 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing, and culturomics to profile gut and lung microbiomes of three ecologically dominant rodents—Apodemus chevrieri, Rattus losea, and Niviventer confucianus—across Guizhou’s heterogeneous habitats.
