Brazil: hectarage of planted cotton 2010-2024

The area planted with cotton in Brazil was forecasted to reach around 1.9 million hectares during the 2023/24 crop year. This figure has generally been annually increasing since crop year 2016/17, when the planted area totaled 939 thousand hectares. The forecasted cotton hectarage represents the fifth largest planted area of grain crops in Brazil.
