WATER

This dataset includes water quality data from 2023, 2024 and 2025. The 2023 data was collected on 6 weekly occasions at 5 locations in Gallions Lake, Thamesmead, UK, over winter, one year before the wetland system was installed. The 2024 data was collected on 3 occasions at the same 5 locations in Gallions Lake, from July to October, half a year after the wetland was installed. Both the 2023 and 2024 water samples were analysed at i2 analytical ltd. for general inorganics, PAHs, heavy metals and VOCs. The 2025 data was collected on 6 monthly occasions from March to August at the same 5 locations in Gallions Lake, plus an extra location (6) in the middle of the wetland to aid spatial analysis. These samples were tested on site for general water quality parameters such as DO, turbidity and using citizen science equipment and were analysed at Queen Mary University geography laboratory for general inorganics and heavy metals.
