Installed power capacity in Tamil Nadu India FY 2005-2022

At the end of fiscal year 2022, the installed power capacity across Tamil Nadu in India was around 35,139 megawatts. In 2021 the country's national electric grid had an installed capacity of approximately 382 gigawatts. Of this capacity, almost three quarters of electricity was produced through fossil fuels.
