Harmonia axyridis Transcriptome or Gene expression

Harmonia axyridis is an important predatory lady beetle that is a natural enemy of agricultural and forestry pests. H. axyridis is notably cold hardy and can overwinter as a diapausing adult in Dongbei and other areas of China. It is an invasive species and threatens a number of indigenous organisms. In this research, we examined changes in H. axyridis transcriptome and qualitative real-time PCR results under normal and low temperatures using high-throughput transcriptome and digital gene-expression-tag technologies.
