Genome sequencing of a collection of phages infecting Vibrio crassostreae and Vibrio chagasii isolated during a five month time serie sampling (2017) in an oyster farm (France).

The overarching goal of our project is to investigate the molecular mechanisms and evolution of bacteria–phage interactions in nature. The oyster's pathogen V. crassostreae and its phages constiture a interesting model to study the evolution of natural populations in 'real time'. We performed a time serie sampling of two species of vibrio, V. crassostreae (see Piel et al, 2021) and V. chagasii (see Cahier et al, 2023).
