Mooney face stimuli for visual perception research

We present a data base of 504 so-called Mooney faces for visual perception research. The images are available in bmp and tif formats. Each image is available in upright and upside-down orientation. 96 manually scrambled images are also included. In addition, there are behavioral results (as a csv file) for 18 subjects doing a face detection task: % subjects recognized as face upright, % subjects recognized as face inverted, median reaction time difference between upright and inverted presentations in ms for each stimulus.
