Identified phytochemical traits described by their full name, abbreviation and number of QTL. Mantel correlations (Mantel corr.) between genomic similarities (derived from genomic admixture proportions Q) and phenotypic similarities [24] were used to assess the degree of genetic determination (and thus to approximate heritability) of phytochemical traits in a natural hybrid zone for all individuals including parental-like trees, and for hybrid trees only (0.012) were derived from half-sib analysis using Restricted Maximum Likelihood (REML) [45] for maternal families with hybrid seedlings in the common garden.
