Likelihood of species threat from international trade

This dataset provides an update to Challender et al. (2023) and uses an automated approach to categorise species as either ‘likely’ (L) or ‘unlikely’ (U) to be threatened by international trade, or as having insufficient information to determine the likelihood of this threat (I) based on the species’ global IUCN Red List assessment. Methods and accompanying R script are available via GitHub at https://github.com/AlyPavitt/RL_IntTradeThreat. The data on higher taxonomy and range States (only native and extant range States are shown) are derived from the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species and the CITES Appendix is derived from Species+.
